The American Psychological Association explains that: “Psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. As much as resilience involves “bouncing back” from these difficult experiences, it can also involve profound personal growth.” (source)
And since flower essences mainly work on the emotional, mental, and spiritual levels, it makes sense that they could support this strength in us!
Flower essences have been my *secret* to staying sane during a pandemic with a young baby at home and dramatic changes to our day-to-day.
I’ve been using these simple, but highly effective, tools for mind-body-health for over 10 years. And it was my dad’s conventional medical doctor who first introduced me to them.
I know, I can’t believe it either!
That GP probably never expected to inspire such passion, or that flower essences would be the key to helping me survive some of the toughest times imaginable during my dad’s heart-breaking battle with early Alzheimer’s Disease.
Unfortunately, flower essences are not well known in North America. When I tell people I’m a Flower Essence Practitioner, they usually give me a puzzled look.
“A flower what?”
“Are those the same as essential oils?”
“Why doesn’t this smell like flowers?”
