
Flower essences are a key part of my self-care routine, but there are so many simple energy practices that can help shift or boost our energy, in 15 minutes or less.
Here are 8 of my favourite ideas.
1. Walk barefoot in your garden or yard, or any nearby green space. This is a super easy way to get grounded.
2. Mist your face or body with a flower essence.

3. Listen to a guided meditation, whatever you can make time for.
I am madly in love with Insight Timer. It’s a free app, but I highly recommend a Premium subscription if you love meditation courses.
4. Add a drop or two of essential oil to your diffuser.
Forest essential oils like black spruce, fir, or pine have a special place in my heart. Sometimes I pair with a citrus oil for an extra energy boost.
5. Take 10 mins for Donna Eden’s Daily Energy Routine.
Do an Internet search if you’re not familiar with it. I always try to run through it if I’m not getting clear results on my intuitive testing.
6. Journal 10 mins or write 3 pages of stream of consciousness writing.
Think of Julia Cameron’s Morning Pages and do a big “brain dump”.
7. Take a 15-minute break from all tech.
We all need to digitally detox from our devices, especially if we’re feeling anxious or out of sorts. I’m afraid I’m not as good at this one, though!
8. Pause and prepare a cup of tea or other favourite hot drink.
I like matcha or turmeric lattes with cashew or coconut milk… or a dandy blend if I’m craving coffee but it’s getting too late in the day.
